This Stacked Petoskey Stone Necklace is a Local favorite! You can see stacked (Or, "Cairn" -which is a human made pile or stack of stones) up and down the Northern Michigan on the shorelines, outside people's homes and just about anywhere you go! This piece is handcrafted at here at The Local Emporium with 5 small Petoskeys that each have their own unique pattern. Cairn Pendant measures 1  1 4" long and comes on a 16" silver chain, 

PETOSKEY- Michigan's State Stone which is a Fossil Rock found on the shores of Michigan's Lower Peninsula. These pre-historic fossils began from Colonial Coral that lived in the warm shallow Michigan seas during the Devonian time about 350 million years ago.
